Description: Warm greetings from Japan. Thank you very much for visiting our listing. This is a rare 1978 model made by one of Japan's leading craftsmen, Kohno Masaru. Ken Kohno started making guitars in 1949, and spent six months at the workshop of Arcángel Fernández in Spain in 1960. The Kohno from the 1970s is a masterpiece. It has the sweet high notes and thick, expansive low notes that are characteristic of the Kohno, good chord separation, and plenty of volume for a clear, resonant sound. His sound is on a grander scale, who is of the same age, Kohno's tone is more woody and appealing. The string length is 660mm(25.98 inches), but it has low tension and is easy to play. The neck look straight and in good condition, the frets have looks no wear, and the playability is good. The string height above the 12th fret is adjusted to be low, 3.4mm(0.13 inches) for the 6th string and 2.4mm(0.09 inches) for the 1st string, making it easy to play. There is not much saddle height left, but probably there is any need to lower the string height any further. Please inspect pictures for condition reference.
