Description: Civil War Sword Blade. Likely Ames. The ricasso is marked "U.S.", "A. K." (probably ADK, which is why it's likely Ames), and "1862". The grip, guard, and pommel are gone. The blade has been shortened, sharpened, several nicks, it has a darkened patina, light pitting scattered throughout, and has a slight curve/bend about 3" up from the tip. No scabbard. Length of the blade without the tang is 19 3/8" (1 1/8" wide and 5/16" thick), the tang alone is 6", and the blade overall is 25 3/8". Sorry but no returns. Check out my other War Items!
