Description: This Gettysburg witness tree stump was passed down in my family from my grandmother. One of her relatives was a soldier on the battlefield of Gettysburg and had gotten this stump that was from the battlefield. Dimensions and details: The stump is 3.5 inches tall, 11 inches long, way, 6 inches from the middle most part. Stump has no signs of rotting at all, was heat treated, and has a kind of protective coat on the back. Was wodburned on the top, for identification, and was done prior to me owning this antique. The pieces on the side are included but don't have any significance to the stump itself. This was how it was passed down to me, so nothing has changed during my ownership of the item.
