Description: Perhaps an example of one of the first pattern glass banks made in the United States. Very rare and hard-to-find Circa 1890 Temple "Savings Bank". I could only find two examples of this bank. One is currently in the Smithsonian. The other is listed/pictured on the eapgs web-site. Period glass fluoresces under the black light (see picture #9). It is about 2 1/2" long x 2 1/2" wide x 3 3/4" high. It is in very good condition. There are three minor issues. When the coin slot is facing forward, there is a small flake on the left front foot (see picture #6). When the coin slot is facing forward, there is a fracture inside the upper right side of the bank - possibly in-the-making (see picture #7). The coin slot is a little rough around the inside edge (most likely in-the-making). The glass is crystal clear, not stained, sick, cloudy, or purple/sun. This piece displays very well. Regarding combined shipping. In most cases, several pieces can be shipped in a single box. When this occurs, I will credit the purchaser's account any shipping difference. In-other-words, I charge exact shipping for same time multiple purchases. I cannot issue these credits until I've purchased the postage so it may take a day or two. I do this often. I have never had a discrepancy complaint. My customers are in very good hands. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions, especially photo related ones. Shipping via USPS Priority Mail fully insured. 24HA - FREA
