Description: Magnificent triptych by Toyohara Chikanobu (豊原周延, 1838–1912), better known as Yōshū Chikanobu (楊洲周延), from the series 'Chiyoda Castle (Album of Women)'. The Chiyoda no on-omote series consists of 33 (?) designs, including the title page. It was published in 1897, by Fukuda Hatsujiro. The series shows scenes from around the outer walls of Chiyoda Palace in Edo. The triptych was published in ca. 1895–1897. The publisher is Fukuda Hatsujirô/Fukuda Kumajirō 福田熊次郎 (seal name: Gusokuya 具足屋). PLEASE VIEW PICTURES CLOSELY AS THEY ARE PART IF DESCRIPTIONS.
