Description: This is a lovely piece of embroidery that is displayed inside 2 glass domes so that the scene can be admired from front and back, I believe this type of embroidery is called Suzhou. The scene is of 2 cranes with a background of trees and grass. The silk cranes are quite detailed and the white portion almost iridescent. The embroidery is totally intact. The edges around the piece may need to be reinforced. There is a tiny spot on the background (see last photo) Pieces such as these were originally displayed on a wooden frame, but could easily be displayed on a frame for decorative plates.
