Description: Lot of Chicken, Rooster, some Wild birds, Canadian Geese, and other feathers - for Crafting, Fly Tying, Jewelry, Boas, Cat Toys, Decor etc. So, I started collecting these about 2 years ago! I picked up a few because they were "pretty"! Then I was hooked. I've picked up so many and have kept them in a box or baggies. Cruelty free?? No cruelty on my part. "Jefferey" may have been a bit cruel to the ladies, the cat may have tried to "play" with the chickens, (The chickens won), the dogs may have ruffled some feathers, not resulting in any harm, the chickens may have been cruel to each other. Stuff like that.Seriously, my birdies are so fricken spoiled!! UPDATE: There are plenty of additional feathers I've collected within the past 3 months or so. I have some new different breeds of chickens, AND it's molting season, so there are plenty of beautiful feathers to be found. Additional pictures will be added very soon! Anyway, the pictures show a variety of the feathers, so I imagine I will sell them in lots of 100? If you have preferences, let me know so that I can send you what you'd like. I have: fat one's skinny ones black one's white ones fluffy one's flat one's brown one's red one's striped one's solid ones short one's long one's shiny one's dull one's small one's big ones curved one's straight ones light one's heavy ones (he he he) PLUS I have a few feathers from random wild birds around my home, such as sparrows, starlings, blue jays, grackles, collared doves, rock pigeons, robins, cardinals and a couple others. There are two fairly big feathers I found in the chicken run... I have no idea what they are from. I've tried several methods for cleaning the feathers..... Washing them with warm water and a drop of dawn dish detergent, rinsing them and either laying them flat to dry or using the hair dryer or even hanging them on a string in front of the heater vent. They never looked as pretty as when I picked them up. A couple of times, I'd find them in my dryer, having gone through the wash. That seemed to work ok, so I put a bunch in one of those lingerie bags (as seen in one of the pictures) and ran another load of laundry. Na, didn't work like I'd hoped. I tried to exclusively put a small load on delicate, and those didn't turn out too bad. I sprayed a few with Lysol disinfecting spray, still not perfect. Then, I started to just pick all the "flicka's" <--- (childhood term for debris) off the best I could. That worked out well, but I felt they weren't sanitized. Finally, I bought one of those sanitizing wands people use to disinfect their phones and toothbrushes or whatever and used that after I picked off the flicka's. You may see a few flicka's in the pictures because when I dumped the feathers out of the box, the hay and bedding pieces fell all over them. I think I'll stick to the"picking the flickas and sanitizing with the wand" as my method of cleaning! Look at the pictures using the zoom feature if you'd like, as part of the description. See if there are any that pique your interest. The pictures include all kinds of examples of the varieties available. The last picture is of some of my favorites, including the 2 large feathers. Some of the tiny ones blew off the table when my husband turned on the ceiling fan! (Yes, they come inside occasionally)! LoL I will sell these in lots of 100 totally random yet diverse feathers. UNLESS you have preferences, THEN PLEASE let me know, and I will accommodate and package accordingly. If you will be using these for fly tying, let me know so I can include the bonus item I have saved. If you want to purchase ALL the feathers, let me know, and we can settle on a price (after I actually count them) and re-list the whole group for you. Due to the tremendous weight of these feathers, I am forced to charge a shipping fee to defer the costs! ($2.00) Side note: If you're interested in the pictures, I've included some of my chickies as examples of where the feathers came from. I have 34 chickies and 4 duckies!.... There's Attila the Hen, Heidie Plume, Vera Wing, Goldie Hen, Jeffery the Rooster, Silly Duck, Yellow Duck, Mallie Duck, and Other Duck. I have 3 silkies named Vader, Prince and Boba, Hoodini is my barred rock that always "escapes" from the run, Mary Kate and Ashley, plus several more! Thank you, and have fun looking!
