Description: Chicago World’s Fair “Rocket” Steam Train Picture in Vintage Frame A great view of an identified steam engine that was on display at the Chicago World’s fair in 1893, not 1933-34. On the back of the photo is written, “My father Jacob A. Miller rebuilt this engine for Chicago Worlds Fair”. The photo itself is in good condition, has wear and small tears along the border and discoloration due to age. It sits in a wooden folky frame with applied leaves on the corners, accented with gilt inner matting. One of the decorative pieces is broken at one of the tips, but otherwise has a very nice look to it overall. The backing is held on with several small nails and has a wire ready to hang and display. Very nice piece of World’s Fair history, wonderfully preserved in a period frame. Measurements: Photo – 8″ x 10″; Frame – 13″ x 15″ (farthest point of each corner) Track Page Views WithAuctiva's Counter
