Description: Up for sale is a fantastic, original painting by Charles Vess. This piece is mostly if not all watercolor although there may be some ink. Fantastic early work, signed and dated 1975. Vess (b. 1951) is a exceptionally well known and collected fantasy and comic artist. Among his most well known work are collaborations with Marvel and Neil Gaiman. He has a strong auction record and his pieces are in collections around the world. This piece measures approximately 9.5 x 7 and is on heavy cardboard. it is unframed. A wonderful piece and great addition to any collection. This piece is one of two Vess pieces we acquired from a large private collection. Previous ownership history available upon request. Overall in nice condition with no major issues, small spot upper right, will need a cleaning at some point but ready to frame and hang. Some light wear to the board.
