Description: This rare Charles Haslewood Shannon R.A. (1863-1937) lithograph is in very good condition. Signed in pencil in the lower right border below the image, the lithograph is printed in black on ivory coloured woven paper. Shannon’s creations had elements of the Aesthetic Movement and also embodied Pre-Raphaelite influences. His work is featured in many notable European collections including Londons National Portrait Gallery. “The Bath” is one of his best known works and is highly prized by collectors of the genre. His initials CHS can be found, transferred from the stone on the image as well. (see photo) Total area of the generous sheet 14.5 inches X 14.25 inches.
