Description: Porcelain plate from CG Schierholz (& Sohn) (1865 - 1911) in Meissen style. It is painted in gentle colors, golden floral patterns and scenes on every other panel. The two panels with flowers have a light pink background. The other two panels have paintings of partially nude maidens or ladies in waiting both signed "Kauffmann" (Angelica Kauffmann). Kauffmann, a Swiss artist worked primarily in a neo-classical style. Gorgeous plate is approximately 7 1/2" across. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. There is some age wear to the gold gilt rim and a small amount of paint loss.
