Description: Up for sale is this Celestron Astro Fi 102 Wi-Fi Maksutov Wireless Reflecting Telescope 22202. Condition is like-new. I purchased this to explore the moon and stars (and the sun with the solar eclipse), but realized that this is so "smart" that there is no manual way to use your hands to point it yourself to look at terrestrial objects (you can move and control it manually with with your phone/tablet up/down/left/right controls). For it to work automatically, you must first perform an alignment, then you select a point of interest using your phone or tablet, and it will take you there, and will track with the rotation of the earth to keep the celestial object in view.I think I need an old school model with a good old fashioned pan and tilt tripod, and I found a vintage Orange Celestron C90.Anyway, I took it out of the box, set it up, downloaded the iPhone app, did an alignment, but never used it.
