This new tool will easily handle 5/16 to 3/4" lap siding board and anything between. Will allow a reveal of 3-3/4" to 8" recommended max in 1/6" increments. By removing all of the spacers you can have a 3" reveal. The tension on the clamp is fully adjustable. The clamp will handle up to 3/4" thick board. When you close the clamp it will lightly lock in the forward position and the tension is controlled by the tension screw not the position of the clamp. If you are in a hurricane / tornado prone area and need a 2" or more overlap this tool will do it.
