This particular listing is for a set that I bought as soon as it came out in 1981: A deluxe German-Pressed boxed set of three LPs containing all the pertinent Chopin performances that Horowitz recorded for Columbia/CBS. At that point, he had just bounced back to RCA, so CBS was issuing "deep catalog" stuff in new packages to keep the Horowitz cash cow flowing. Not that I'm complaining...this is a fabulous set! The German vinyl pressing and deluxe packaging made this a "must have". I was working at a record store when this came out and our store was allotted one copy, which I quickly snapped up...this is it. The box is in near perfect shape, and I have kept the vinyl as clean as possible throughout the years. I played this as little as possible, recording it onto cassette at the time, to keep from playing it. The fold-out program note insert is in excellent shape as well. The box is in excellent shape, a nominal amount of shelf-wear...PLEASE SEE ALL THE PHOTOS! The vinyl has been properly cared for since new.
