Description: GOOD CONDITION This sale is for a large size vintage hardback edition entitled “Cassell’s Concise Bible Dictionary,” subtitled “Illustrated Bible Manual,” by Rev. Robert Hunter (1823-1897) M.A., LL.D., F.G.S., with numerous illustrations and a COLOUR frontispiece map of Palestine in the Time of Our Lord. It was published by Cassell and Company Limited, of London, in 1901 and is the “Quiver” Edition, complete in one hardback binding (this work was originally published under the title of “The Sunday School Teachers’ Bible Manual”). The book measures 8.75 inches x 6 inches x 1.5 inches and has 764 pages (including illustrations), with the text printed in two columns per page. The book is in good, generally neat condition for its age, with wear/scuffs/bumps to the original cloth hardback cover. There are NO inscriptions/book-plates and NO other ink or pencil markings in the book. The pages are a little faded with age; the last two sheets are uncut (fixed together) and a few pages before this are tatty to the rims The binding is good with no loose or missing pages. There is no dust-jacket. A wonderfully illustrated vintage edition.
