From the late Lou Whitney's legendary recording studio in Springfield, Missouri, counting among its producers Mark Bilyeu of Big Smith fame, comes the eponymous 2017 debut album from Casey Lynne and The Deal Breakers, a self-described country / folk / rockabilly band. They've been playing the bar scene for years and finally sat still long enough to record a few studio cuts. Their musicianship is first-rate, and there's never been a lead singer like Casey; she's hard to describe. Maybe if Patsy Cline had grown up listening to all kinds of different music in some backward hick town, then found her real country roots & started an upbeat bar band. Their studio album is a fleeting 29 minutes and 26 seconds of outlaw country bliss. The longest song clocks in at 2:45, so the album plays just like their live shows - moving on to the next song before anyone had a chance to get tired of the last one.
