Description: Introduced by CASE in 1957 and discontinued in 1967, this is a hard to find, near mint, "Barehead Swell End" jack knife or sometimes referred to by collectors as a "Boys Knife" measuring 3" in length when closed. It has brass lined and pinned, beautiful and flawless, jigged brown bone handles, Chrome Vanadium (carbon steel) blades and shiny nickel silver front bolsters. The front tang of the Clip Point blade is stamped CASE XX dating it as a 1940 - 1964 issued knife and the reverse blade tang (albeit a little difficult to read due to blade rub) is pattern stamped 62024 1/2. Tangs on the secondary Pen Point blade are unmarked. Both half-stop, factory edge sharp, mirror finished blades have excellent "walk and talk" snap. With the exception of some very light scratch marks on the Clip Point blade, this vintage knife is perfect (see photos). Note: Inspect all photos and use the zoom feature for a closer look.
