Description: I picked this up years ago with the intention of having it mounted , but never got around to it. Now here is the story ... After doing some research , Ive come to the conclusion that this was a "midnight casting". These castings were done by apprentice workers at Kauba's foundry. I guess Kauba wanted his workers to sharpen their skills on their own time. Generally, these pieces were not supposed to leave the shop, as the detail was slightly less than Kauba standards, and I agree that the detail could be a little sharper. Regardless, this is a vintage piece, over a century old. Interesting to note, the reproductions that they make today, do not include the rifle .... not politically correct to depict the native as a potential aggressor when the true history is something to the contrary. Measures approximately 8" long, just under 6" tall. I believe shipping in a medium flat-rate box is the best option. Please view all photos and ask any questions that you may have.
