This piece of rough cedar is from the walls of the world famous CARIBOU RANCH RECORDING STUDIO, the most unique recording experience in the world, where music history was made. size of this piece is approx 5 3/4" x 6" Comes with Certificate of Origin signed by Caribou Ranch Recording Studio/Ranch Manager, John Carsello, and a picture of the control room. Ready to hang - the words carved and burnt into the wood by John Carsello CHICAGO, THE BEACH BOYS, JOHN LENNON, DAN FOGELBERG, EARTH, WIND & FIRE, STEPHEN STILLS, SUPERTRAMP, ELTON JOHN to name just a few, recorded there. I rescued this cedar before it was hauled away for disposal. I could not accept the fact that it was being thrown out. I felt it held the vibe of all the music that was recorded there. I only got what was being thrown away so there is a limited supply. Each piece varies in size. Limited supply that you will never see again. The recording studio in Nederland, Colorado was only operational from 1971-1985, but made music history around the world. There was a fire in the studio in March of 1985, the owners never rebuilt. Some of the wood still shows the signs of the fire. This is a great piece of memorabilia. When you hold it in your hand and play the music recorded at Caribou Ranch, you almost imagine the bands recording in this studio... The walls have ears!
