No Reserve! DESCRIPTION Julian “Cannonball” Adderley - “Cannonball Adderley And The Poll-Winners Featuring Ray Brown, Wes Montgomery” Riverside Records RLP 9355 (Mono) from 1965. Hard to find Original Mono Hard Bop / Jazz Album from Cannonball Adderley along with Ray Brown, Wes Montgomery, Lewis Hayes and Victor Feldman. This is a 1965 repressing / reissue of the 1960 Original on the Blue with Silver Print Riverside Mono labels and in the Original Shrinkwrapped Cover with no Cutouts, Promo markings or Barcode. CONDITION The Sleeve is in its Original Shrink Wrap and in good shape. The shrink is torn a few inches in the bottom right corner and there is some wear along the opening edge and a couple of the corners where the shrink has pulled back. There is an about 1” part split in the bottom right corner. Still nice and solid with no cutouts, writing, stains, tears, etc. and would rate VG+ overall. The Vinyl itself is in clean Glossy condition looking lightly played. If you look closely you can spot a few light scuffs but still close to New condition. At least VG+ visually and plays at least that well although there is some light groove noise and a few soft tics - may just need a better cleaning than I can give with my Discwasher brush. The labels show a couple faint spindle trails but are otherwise Near Mint. I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words: Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them.
