As a matter of fact he taught me the sharpshooter. One day I go down to the Dungeon in 1977. And there's Shatner who wrestled under the name The Crooked Mountie, he's all mad because Star Wars just got released and it was doing so well, and he wasn't apart of a sci fi space movie that did well. He kept repeating something to the effect of "There's something on the X, Wing?". Anyways he says to a couple of us stampede guys. William says ... Why don't I show you guys my "Moose Knuckle". At this point I had only heard about William Shatner's "Moose Knuckle". I asked him "Really William? you're going to show me your moose knuckle?" Sure William said. I'll show my moose knuckle to you. So My brother Bruce and I are in the Dungeon with Will, Bruce is up first so he shoots in for a test of strength, at which point Shatner locks with him and they're wrestling around the dungeon for a while, then Shatner whispers to Bruce "You're in the twilight zone now" all of a sudden Shatner sidetrips bruce, grabs his legs, and puts him in the dreaded "Moose Knuckle" .... it was like a split second, it happened so fast. The only way to describe it was like a figure four leg lock, and Boston crab happening simultaneously. Shatner has his Moose Knuckle locked in deep on Bruce who'swrithing in pain from Shatner's Moose Knuckle, and Shatnershouts over to me "How do you like my moose knuckle?" Then he releases his Moose Knuckle and helps Bruce up. He Winks at me and says "Save my moose knuckle for your singles run but call it the Sharpshooter because you're the hitman" and that was how I learned the Sharpshooter. He put his Captain Kirk shirt back on and walked up the stairs. I didn't see him again until that Raw Show. Oh yeah Jacques Rougeau was down there too and he stole Shatner's Mountie Gimmick.
