Also included is an official application. Condition: Both are in excellent condition. Comments: Camp Abena was a charming summer camp for girls located in the picturesque Belgrade Lakes region of Maine. The camp was partly staffed by summering Middlebury College professors. It was situated at Hersom’s Point on Great Pond, which is now known as Great Lake. The camp provided a serene and natural environment for young girls to explore the outdoors, learn new skills, and build lasting friendships. The camp’s establishment dates back to the early 20th century. In March 1905, the Waterville Sentinel announced the opening of Hersom’s Point Camp, which would cater to girls during the summer season.
