Description: From the El Amparo in Coahuila state. Typically flowers are carmine-red, but can vary to much lighter shades. Cactus La Fricii is a very mutable species, by observing plants in habitat, the colour can be much lighter than that indicated in a description. Its difficult to find two similar plants in one location, particularly with flower and body shape. Pale grey-green to yellow-green, usually lacking well defined ribs and furrows. The stems starts branching when a plant with a single crown reaches the size of a large saucer. Fricii is among the largest Lophophoras, it's possible for it to grow into a very large 21-ribbed plant that may exceed 10 cm across. These seeds were freshly harvested July 21st. If you have any questions or would like to buy more than 10 please don't hesitate to contact me and ask. The first picture is a mature flowering L. Fricii Var. El Amparo, the second and third pic are the seeds you will receive. I have sown a container of 15 seeds 6 days ago and I have 14 of the 15 currently successfully germinated. It's safe to label these as 'High Germination' considering how fast they popped. If you have any questions on how to sow them or about the seeds at all please don't hesitate to ask!
