Description: DESCRIPTION - Minolta Auto Press Camera by Chiyoda Kogaku Seiko, predecessor to Minolta – Serial Number 23861. The camera has 105mm f/3.5 Promar Anastigmat Nippon lens – apparently made by Asahi Kogaku, predecessor to Pentax. The According to an on-line source, the Auto Press is one of the rarest cameras made under the Minolta name with less than 4000 made between the years 1937 and 1943. The camera has a Kodak film pack holder instead of sheet film holders. CONDITION – This will require servicing/repair. The shutter speeds are not accurate. Also, the rangefinder is working, but is not accurate – registers four feet at eight foot distance, and registers 30 feet at approximately 22 foot distance. Looks like someone replaced the black leather covering. Please read below for other condition details.
