Turn to me, O Lord, and deliver my soul: O save me for thy mercy’s sake…). Psalm 6 is the first of the Penitential Psalms. The Penitential Psalms are a group of 7 psalms considered appropriate for prayer during times of repentance. This Book of Hours leaf was scribed circa 1450. This is a beautiful and highly ornamental original, about 570 years old, not a reproduction. It is in exceptionally nice antiquarian condition as shown in the photos. The colors and gold are fresh and bright. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
