Description: Butterfly Pea (Spurred) Centrosema Virginianum15 Seeds The Butterfly Pea vine has always been one of our favorite Florida Native flowers! Butterfly Pea is a tiny vine that starts sprouting and running in the late Spring. It will be covered in many purple flowers during the Summertime. Bees love getting all of the way inside of this flower to do their pollen dance! There is a very popular Blue Butterfly Pea that is gaining popularity. It is used to make typically alcoholic drinks turn a beautiful shade of blue. We have started to grow this variety, but do not currently have seeds available. The Purple Butterfly pea is native to Florida and it is not recommended to eat or make drinks from. There is a little 'spur' at the top of each flower, giving it the name of Spurred Butterfly Pea. The quantities will increase once we have more stock available. Our farm sold-out fairly quickly last year and we wanted to get these re-listed as soon as possible.
