Description: On offer, we have a photograph of film legends Buster Keaton (1895-1966) and Jack Oakie (1903-1978). This was taken at a charity baseball game between MGM (Keaton) and Paramount (Oakie) that raised money for the 1932 LA Summer Olympic games. Shown in the photo is the trophy for fastest base runner. This glossy photo measures 14" X 11" and is mounted on white board 18" X 12". Jack Oakie's foundation provides scholarships for the junior members of The Academy Of Magical Arts, originally The Magic Castle. They have a "Jack Oakie Gallery" used as a classroom and for many other functions. This photograph comes from the estate of Milt Larsen (1931-2023), co-founder of the Magic Castle. It may, or may not, have once been displayed in the castle. I believe this is in very good condition. The photograph is bold and clear. The thick white cardboard is toned, spotted and scratched. The applied label at the bottom has a tear. As I am not an expert, please see my photographs for more description. This is from my friend who is moving to a smaller home and starting to part with a few of his treasures. I will be happy to answer any questions and, of course, combine your shipping when possible.
