About The ProductThis burnish/sealer is a pigmented gilding primer for use on wood, plaster, metal, and composition surfaces that are to be gilded with imitation or genuine gold leaf. (You can see our collection of genuine gold and silver leaf as well as imitation gold, silver, and copper leaf in the images above.) This product will seal the surface, provide excellent adhesion, and permit an easy, high burnish with minimum rubbing. Allow surface to dry thoroughly before applying a top coat of gilding size. DirectionsClean and sand smooth all surfaces before applying this product. Apply at packaged consistency with a soft bristle brush. If thinning is necessary, use mineral spirits. The product will dry in 30 minutes under normal conditions. When dry, lightly scuff sand before applying a gilding size. Please note, dry time is subject to the gilder's environmental humidity and temperature. This also includes the thickness of primer application. Use Caution!📕 Warning: COMBUSTIBLE! Keep away from heat and open flame.📕 KEEP OUT OF REACH FROM CHILDREN!📕 To avoid breathing vapors or spray mist, open windows and doors or use other means to ensure fresh air entry during application and drying.
