Has arching stems decorated with clusters of finely pointed appealingly drooping leaves. When young, this shrub appears to have a ridged appearance due to its drooping leaves, giving the nickname: "Winged Euonymous", Tiny, inconspicuous flowers emerge in late spring to early summer, later becoming small drupes enjoyed by birds and wildlife.
