Take a look at the pictures in this listing and observe what fuel lines are supposed to look like. We use brass ferrules, steel rusts and brass is real purdy, like gold.This listing is for ONE (1) NEW, UK Made, Fuel Line Ferrule Crimping Tool and ten (10) brass ferrules. The tool crimps 1/2" O.D. fuel line. The ferrules except 1/2 " O.D. (outside diameter) fuel line. We use Gates 1/2" O.D. fuel line with a 1/4" I.D., (inside diameter). This is the general size of most British makes. Some prefer clear fuel lines. We don't because they become yellowish, brittle and can crack. Some say, "they like to see the fuel in the lines". We say "tickle your carb if you want to see fuel. You can even smell it!" Installation is a snap. Cut your fuel line at the correct length from petcock tube to carb, insert the fuel line into the ferrule large opening until it is flush with the inside of the ferrule small end, attach the ferrule to petcock tube or banjo tube, make sure the ferrule is past any taper on what you are crimping to, open the ferrule tool and install it over the ferrule, the ferrule body will fit nicely into the groove. Screw down all the way until it is snug. DO NOT over tighten. Unscrew, swing the arm over and viola! It should look like the pictures in this listing. For single carb models you will use 4 ferrules. For twin carb models you will use 6 ferrules and for triples you will use 8 ferrules. We supply ten ferrules. It is best on multi carb models to build your fuel line on the bench.
