Bronze body casting Steel Sole make 2" Norris-type English wood filled plane

Description: Bronze casting to make a plane on the lines of the English wood-filled planes made by Norris in the 1800s. Usually filled with hardwood. A project to make a replica of a classic, expensive plane useful for working with difficult grain hardwoods. The casting has been partially finished. The sole has a steel insert. All remaining finishing could be done by hand. The overall width of the casting is 2 1/2".
