We have partnered with an OEM Tier 1 supplier to grind the new V2 series which ensures maximum depth heat treatment. The maximum heat treat depth is achieved by having cam cores made within a few thousandths of final grind size, as opposed to grinding all the camshafts from the same starting core. Now, each grind has their own respective core. The end result is a revised camshaft that provides more average torque, higher peak power, and more durability than anyone else in the industry. Spring specs are 100 lbs @ 1.800", 285 lbs @ 1.240", coil bind @ 1.150", set of 16. BTR 7.400" Chromoly Pushrods Chromoly One Piece Pushrods, 5/16" diameter, .080" wall, and your choice of length. These one piece precision formed pushrods are constructed from SAE 4130 chromoly tubing, centerless ground to exacting tolerances, and case hardened to Rc 60. Beware of competitors who say their pushrods are made from the same 4130 material, because some are not. although this package includes everything you NEED to upgrade during a Camshaft Upgrade, there are a few things that we HIGHLY suggest upgrading at the same time. Since they're not required, we make them options for you to choose Additional Parts Guide: Valve Spring Type you have the choice between our Tick Performance Dual Valve Spring Kit (assembled here in house using PAC valve springs) or a Brian Tooley Racing Dual Valve Spring Kit. if you're trying to keep your valvetrain as light as possible. The PAC #1219 Drop-In Springs are an option only if you'll be running a towMAX Camshaft. Additional Parts Guide: Pushrod Length Since stock pushrods are 7.400" long, the 7.400" hardened chromoly pushrod set is included in our Elite Camshaft Packages by default. If you think you'll need a different length, we got a wide variety to choose from. All lengths are the same high quality hardened chromoly, ready for years of hard abuse. These pushrods are all 5/16" diameter, .080" wall; if you'd like a different diameter or wall thickness, please place your order by phone. Additional Parts Guide: Timing Chain Upgrade While upgrading your camshaft, it's easy (and smart) to upgrade your timing chain. The GM is a nice budget upgrade over stock, while the Katech C5-R chain is a premium option. Additional Parts Guide: Oil Pump Upgrade Just like your timing chain, it's easy (and smart) to upgrade your oil pump during a camshaft upgrade. The GM 1258"LS6" Pump is a nice upgrade over the stock LS1 unit, while the Tick Performance Blueprinted & Ported "LS6" Pump is better for vehicles that will be abused often. Additional Parts Guide: AFM Delete Kit None of our Tick Performance Elite Series Camshafts are designed to work with Active Fuel Management (AFM, also known as Displacement on Demand or DOD), so you'll need to order this kit to install at the same time as our camshaft unless you've already deleted this system. Installation of this kit requires removal of both cylinder heads in addition to your camshaft install. Additional Parts Guide: VVT Delete Kit None of our Tick Performance Elite Series Camshafts are designed to work with Variable Valve Timing (VVT), so you'll need to order this kit to install at the same time as our camshaft unless you've already deleted this system. This kit is designed to be installed in tandem with our Tick Performance AFM (DOD) Delete Kit for LS Engines while you're upgrading to an aftermarket camshaft. Additional Parts Guide: Replacement Gaskets If you're installing your camshaft yourself, there are a few gaskets and a bolt that should be replaced.
