Description: You are bidding on a very unique metal (maybe brass?) cup on a stand. The base or stem of this vessel is actually the trunk of an elephant. The head of the elephant is on an almond shaped metal base with the inscription Made in Israel on the bottom. See pictures. I honestly do not know what this may have been used for but it is definitely an interesting conversation piece. I have seen similar vessels listed as incense burners, candy dishes, or saccharine holders. Again, I have no idea but the inside of the cup has no burn marks so I do not think it was an incense burner or an ashtray..
