Description: This is for a gorgeous cased satin Art Glass cracker or biscuit jar with enameled raised gold ferns and an ornate silver plated lid, c. 1880-1900. The jar has a pink glass body cased over white with a soft satin finish with a umbra shading and a wave pattern. The silver plate collar is decorated with an embossed floral design .The handle is graceful arch that adds to the grace and portion of this impressive piece . The lid is also in very nice shape with a finial on top.Measures approx. 7 1/2" high to top of final, 10 1/2" high to the top of handle with a 4 1/2" diameter top. This is an Estate piece: with no damage chips or repairs. . The silver plate collar , lid and handle are also signs in very good condition.
