Description: Birge & Fuller Steeple Candlestick Clock - 8 Day - 1846 Beautiful original finish rosewood & mahogany veneered clock case with a few spots of age related scratches, dings, repairs, etc. (see all pics) but overall very nice. The four candlesticks look to be in good shape. Top door might need a little adjustment to fit perfectly. This case has the wagon spring style feet. A newer paper dial covers the original metal painted dial. The hands look similar to original but are newer. The lower glass looks original but the upper glasses are replacements. All three glasses look good. The hinges and latches look like originals. It comes with an older pendulum bob and winding key. The clock has a Chauncey Jerome 8 day time and strike movement in it.Currently, the clock movement runs good striking correctly on the hour. But, after shipping the movement might need buyer adjustment to re-calibrate it.The backboard Birge & Fuller makers label is 95% there but has darkened a little with age. Dimensions 25 3/4" tall, 13 3/4" wide and 4" deep A very nice rare Birge & Fuller steeple candlestick clock that's over 175 years old.
