Description: Biltwell 'Recoil' grips - black. Fits 1" (25.4mm) diameter handlebars. After a fair amount of success converting motorcyclists from metal grips into more rider friendly rubber grips, we're releasing our tried and true grips in a more durable & UV resistant compound. We've got thousands of miles of testing with the upgraded Thermoplastic Vulcanizate compound and have been pleased with the results. TPV has proven to be heartier in all conditions yet retains the soft and supple nature expected from Biltwell grips. We recommend using WD-40 to install the grips and suggest letting them dry overnight. Adding a ring of safety lock wire on each end is a standard moto practice and all of our grips have grooves to accommodate this. If grips are not quite secure, it is recommended to use a small circle of superglue or grip glue around the control side of the grip and then slip the grip on and leave to dry. Note: Using Biltwell rubber grips on H-Ds will often require that your motorcycle is equipped with an aftermarket throttle tube (our Whiskey throttle tube, for instance). The grips do not have a built in plastic throttle tube, they are meant to slide over a higher-quality aluminium tube.
