Several circles can be created for different situations. One circle is chosen at a time for real-time messaging.Circle members need to install the BiiSafe Buddy app on their mobile devices, but they do not have to own a BiiSafe Buddy. You have to create an account (with your email) to log-in to the app. After this own circles and messaging are available. Location sharingBy pressing the Buddy's button twice, a message with the user's location wil l be sent to a chosen circle. The location sharing message can also be sent in the map view of the app.The message attached to location information can be set in the app. Desired circle needs to be set active in the app beforehand. Messages of inactive circles can be seen from their log.The locating feature utilizes the smartphone's GPS connection. The GPS connection is set on only when necessary, which saves battery and supports the longest possible battery life. AlarmAn alarm message will be sent to a chosen circle when pressing and holding Buddy's button over three seconds. This allows inconspicuous alarming without touching a smartphone. The alarm can also be made on the mobile app.The alarm message includes the user's map location. Attached message can be defined in the settings. A circle needs to be set active in the app beforehand. Messages and alarms of inactive circles can be seen from their log."Alarm active" feature needs to be set on from the Buddy's settings. Reacting model to an alarm needs to be defined by a user and the circle members. ltem tracking ATTACHING BUDDY TO VALUABLES Attaching Buddy to valuables or other important items helps to take care of them and easily track them, an alarm will sound when you are leaving your buddy behind and incase you do you can see its last known location in case they are left behind.The Buddy is connected to the mobile app and is named in a recognizable way, and it will be attached to valuables. KEEPING ITEMS SAFE The app alerts when the Buddy attached to valuables is up to be left behind, unless the feature is disabled. When the Bluetooth connection between the Buddy and the mobile is lost, the Buddy flashes and makes a sound. The location is added to log, and if belonging to an active circle, a message is sent to others. Both Buddy and phone can be set to give an alert if the Bluetooth connection between them is lost. TRACKING ITEMS The location of a Buddy which was left behind will be marked on the map. The last known location of the Buddy can be viewed in the log in the app.Track your valuables by tapping the icon of the Buddy you want to find The Buddy will flash and make sounds. The app shows the distance between the Buddy and the mobile device. LOCATING A MOBILE PHONE Buddy helps to find a lost mobile phone. The application makes the phone alarm also when mute, and allows to find a lost phone nearby. The range varies according to surroundings up to 60-100 meters outdoors, 10-30 meters indoors. Activity trackingBuddy has an inbuilt pedometer that allows it to track activity. Buddy tracks steps when it is kept with the user and the activity tracking function is enabled. When Buddy is kept with the user e.g. in a pocket, it measures the steps and tracks activity. Goals can be set for daily steps, distances or burnt calories. The app shows daily and monthly activity which can easily be compared with others.The mobile device can be left home while exercising and just keep the Buddy in e.g. a pocket and the Buddy device will store movement data in its internal memory. The data is uploaded to the app on the background when Buddy connects the mobile device again. The Buddy device can store the last 5 days of activity data.By filling the profile information, more accurate data can be provided as well as an estimation of the burnt calories.
