She subsequently completed her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering at Thapar University, Patiala. She has been teaching for the past 15 years with a focus on data mining, DBMS, operating systems and data structures. She is an active member of the CSI and IEEE.Valentina E. Balas, Ph.D., is currently a Full Professor at the Department of Automatics and Applied Software at the Faculty of Engineering, "Aurel Vlaicu" University of Arad, Romania. She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Electronics and Telecommunications from the Polytechnic University of Timisoara. Dr. Balas is the author of more than 270 research papers in refereed journals and for international conferences.
