Description: Hi everybody. This is a 1.25" x 3.5" cut of paper signed by Bert Spencer. This autograph was originally obtained in person by Ernest Cornolo, a lifelong auto racing fan. As mentioned in his online obituary from 2011, Cornolo attended races as a youngster at Legion Ascot Speedway in Los Angeles, California and took the occasional odd job, such as selling programs to fans. His obituary states, "Like many kids, he reveled in getting autographs from the race car drivers." Bert Spencer was a race car driver in the 1930s AAA Championship Car series.
