Goldwyn pulled the filmafter poor reviews, replacing director Mark Robson with director King Vidor andadding a new prologue by writer Ben Hecht. The new version premiered in New Orleans on September 27, 1950. Starred Dana Andrews, Farley Granger, Joan Evans, Robert Keith and Adele Jergens.
