Description: This is for one hundred and fifty (150) plastic nipples for use in some plastic container lids. These are the same nipples I sell pre-installed into mason jar lids. Many beekeepers have asked if they could buy the nipples alone to install themselves, but because this requires a special punch that I had to custom build, I declined. Since then I discovered they can be safely installed through an interference fit hole from the inside of a plastic lid. The nipple is tapered and the plastic lid will stretch to a snug fit. It is extremely difficult to drill perfectly round holes through thin metal DO NOT ATTEMPT TO INSTALL THESE INTO METAL LIDS OF ANY KIND. To install the nipple, a 15/64" drill bit is required (not included) and preferably a drill press to drill the interference fit hole and some sealant/adhesive to help keep the nipple from being pushed back into the container (not included). The nipple can be used in many various container lids, but since the lid material can differ, it is up to the user to determine which is "Best". The one pictured is a mayonnaise jar lid. Only the items in the gallery pic are included in this sale, all other pics are for reference purposes and are NOT INCLUDED. Illustrated instructions included. Disclaimer: The correct functioning of this item cannot be guaranteed by seller due to the skill set of the installer, the equipment used by the installer and/or the type(s) of lids.
