The rug comes from a smoke free and pet free home. The fringe and binding are in excellent condition. The are a few pieces of fringe that are short than the rest but it is not very noticeable. Look at the last picture. The pile is full and thick with no wear on it. The rug was professionally cleaned before it was listed With any used rug there could be some fading. The Karastan factory has closed down according to the NY Times issue dated June 6 , 2021. Therefore the rugs will not be made any longer . The price of existing rugs will increase with demand going up. So if you are wanting to purchase one I would suggest buy the one you like and don't wait. Either from me or another seller on ebay.
