Description: For sale is a beautiful Antique Blackfoot Beaded Pipe Bag from circa 1890-1920. The bag is made of native tanned hide, sinew sewn. Only the front panel is beaded in classic Blackfoot floral designs in bead colors white, light blue, pink, translucent navy, orangy/red-white-heart, greasy yellow, and medium green, sinew sewn. The seams of the throat and the four tabs are lined with light blue and greasy yellow beads, also sinew sewn. The hide and fringe are slightly stiff but supple. The bottom of the beaded panel is decorated with a row of brass beads. The bag is circa 33" long and 6 1/4" wide. Please take a good look at the pictures or ask questions before you bid.
