COLOR INTEGRITY We are proud to offer a line of glass beads in which 95% of them are pure "colored glass". Manufacturers achieve certain colors and/or effects by "coating" a clear glass bead. We do carry about 2% of these "coated" beads. However, all are top quality. DARKER COLORS A "Garnet color" bead has an inherent characteristic of turning almost black when stored without air or light. After shipping, exposure in a "regular" household environment will return them to their true color. This characteristic might apply to other dark colors but consistent in the deep reds. COLOR CHANGING There are two beautiful color changing beads in a variety of shapes, styles and sizes. The Swarovski® "Cantaloupe" and the Czech "Alexandrite" beads. Their color will change according to their light source. (sunlight, incandescent, fluorescent, etc.) due to a mineral that is added to the glass/crystal.
