Description: This is a Cool Tunic / Dress! I think it may be handmade, based on the stitching. Some of the stitching looks hand done, some, like the seams are not sewn straight like you would normally see on a machined dress. You could wear this as a dress or as a tunic very slight flare to the dress, starting mostly from the band across the bodice This dress came from an estate where the person had a ton of Vintage clothing. This may be vintage. But it may not be. I can see it as a Vintage style, but also newer retro. Really hard to say. No guarantees either way Sheer mustardy yellow with a khaki green under piece. Lots of great beading, and ribbon like pieces including a diamond piece that feels like a leather of some sort. There are bands around the sleeves and hem that are stiff and have gold metallic like thread. There is a small snag in the hem band, but its not really noticable. There could be others. there are no tags so check measurements to be sure this will fit The material on both the under dress and the sheer part feels like silk, the yellow is a rougher feel while the under dress is a nice soft matte. That said there are no tags and it could be a polyester or rayon or a blend of some sort. I would dry clean or hand wash this given all the beading and the unknown fabric The sleeves are somewhere betwen short and cap sleeve Approximate measurements: laying flat; 36 inches from center back at top of neckline to bottom of dress; 15 inches from armpit to armpit There is an imperfection in the fabric - I think it is a dye issue, there is a line across the fabric that goes the whole way across. There are a few marks but they seem to be mostly on the under dress, they sort of show through the sheer, but not that much. A couple of the ribbony pieces, which are blue and white have bled into the yellow, so it has some bluish on it - see the photos. There is a smaller area near the side seam that looks like it may be a repair and just above it, you can see the fabric is thinning. There are also a few areas that are snag like but don't have threads coming out. This makes me think that the fabric is silk, as sometimes that happens when it catches. There could be other marks here and there, or other areas that need repair. Again, I don't see any, but they could be there - so I'm saying the condition is consistant with age. All the listed imperfections seem like a lot, but the dress is really quite nice, and all these items aren't terribly obvious, at least in my opinion. there are snaps in the shoulders so you can wrap around your bra and keep the dress in place. I don't know what they are called - I call them bra snaps. At least that is what I assume they are for! Overall I think this is a very pretty, quite ornate piece. It does have a few imperfections. cust915bl500-lp BC1-27 all clothing items have been cleaned to ebay standards
