Description: “STRANGE LOOP” part one! After a routine mission to save the day, Batgirl realizes she's been spending a little too much time in costume. Her life as Barbara Gordon is in a rut, and it's time to focus on changing things for the better. Can the sudden reemergence of her former love interest, Kai, be a sign of good things to come? Or is he bringing all kinds of trouble with him? Things are not what they seem in Burnside, and it's up to Batgirl to figure out why! Batgirl keeps trapped in a mindloop-created dreamworld, and facing two huge fighters. Realizing she should be able to do anything in her own dream, she puts both women to sleep and drags them out of the building. Noticing how easily she's carrying both women, Batgirl ponders if Supergirl feels like every day is a dream. After taking down a gang of drug dealers, Batgirl gets a text from her ex-schoolmate Melissa. Their former classmate Jacob Cesaro has been brought in the hospital where she volunteers thrice in a month. She fears Jacob has fallen in with the wrong crowd, and Barbara promises to look into it. She liked Jacob. He was also a cop's son, but one day his father didn't come back. She doesn't want to lose another friend to Gotham's darkness. Batgirl slips in a church and attends a funeral. A few months ago, there was an attack by the Scarecrow on Burnside College during a middle-school field trip. Fortunately their teacher Duane got the kids to safety while Batgirl took care of Scarecrow. Unfortunately the man and his bride were shot by the Joker at their own wedding several months later. Batgirl bitterly wonders if there're any point in the Batman Family's endless battle to save Gotham City.
