Description: This is a custom 12" figure of one of the best old tv detective series than was on television in the 1970's.The detective series, Barnaby Jones (played by Buddy Ebsen) ran on television from 1973-1980. The story centered on a private detective (Barnaby Jones) that retires leaving the agency in the hands of his son Hal. When Hal is murdered while investigating a case, Barnaby comes out of retirement to find his son's killer. After Barnaby solves this case his daughter-in-law, (Hal's widow) Betty Jones (played by Lee Meriwether) goes to work for Barnaby at the detective agency. Barnaby Jones is not the typical hard boiled tv detective, drinking milk in bars and restaurants. This series was very good with good actors playing believable characters featuring some good stories. PLEASE NOTE- While this figure does not look exactly like Barnaby Jones/ Buddy Ebsen there is a bit of a resemblance and the figure displays well. also please note this figure is not quite as poseable as some of my figures. NOTE one other thing -the shirt is a faux shirt but the "shirt" works well and displays nicely.
