I also use this hood for adding a little warmth for my tropical dives to add a little warmth for those 5 dive days and to keep my hair out of my snorkel. Great for travel since this hood will dry quickly at the end of the week of diving.Having a 3mm hood offers many advantages even for diving in warm water. With a simple hood, you can stay warm much longer without having to jump into a heavier, thicker wet suit. The hood also protects your neck, head and face from jellyfish like the box jellies in Australia or the Man-of-War in the Caribbean or Hawaii. Hmm, ... warmth and protection - pretty good deal.Available in sizes XS - XL New Bare 3mm Neo Hood, in the bag with the tags. Your hood should be snug, but not too tight. If your hood is too loose, you will have a lot of water circulating in and out of your hood and around your head which will lead to your getting cold earlier. If your hood is too tight in your neck, you could pass out. If your hood is too tight around your head, you will likely get a head ache.SizeXSSMLXL2XLForeheadin2121 1/222 1/223 1/22424 1/2 cm5354.55759.56162.5Neckin131415161718 cm3535.53840.54345.5 Wetsuit Drysuit Gear Care TipMcNett Scuba Diver Gear Care Value PackeBay Listing 170317740171Here's a couple of steps to help keep your new dive gear looking its best:At the end of the Dive Week/WeekendStep 1. Rinse your gear with fresh water as soon as you can after the dive.Step 2. When you get home, use about 1/2 ounce of McNett Wetsuit Shampoo in about 20 gallons of fresh water to soak your gear for about 20 minutes. Aggitate your gear in the water to help remove any persistant sand, seaweed or little marine critters.Step 3. Empty and rinse your rinse bucket. Use about 1/2 ounce of McNett Mirazyme in about 20 gallons of fresh water. Aggitate your gear and let it soak for about 20 minutes. McNett Mirazyme contains an enzyme that will help elimiate any organic material remaining on your dive gear.Step 4. Using hangers designed for scuba gear, hang up for rinsed gear out of direct sunlight and let it dry.Step 5. After your gear is dry, re-pack your dive bag so you're ready for the next dive :-) You may be interested in our other listings on eBay.
