BAE Systems Low Visibility Body Armor Vest, Large, H92222-06-D-0002 NO INSERTS

Description: Purchased at auction, I have for sale a total of 10 units of BAE Systems low profile body armor vests, size large, sold individually. These are new in factory original heavy plastic bags. I temporarily removed 1 from a bag to take pictures. Labeling on the armor carrier:BAE SYSTEMSLOW VISABILITY BODY ARMOR VESTH92222-06-D-0002 ...long description that basically says it holds removable ballistic panels and does not afford protection without them, plus cleaning instructions... LARGENSN: 8470-01-546-1499 Each vest comes with 2 option sets for the elastic cummerbund: a pair of 13 x 6 inch cummerbunds and a pair of 12 x 4 inch cummerbunds - both sets attach by hook-and-loop. This gives you a fair bit of adjustment to fit and being able to pick either 6 or 4 inch wide gives you a bit of comfort selection. Each vest section (front and back carrier panels) has dual hook-and-loop closing armor carrying options: it can fit either your standard 'soft-vest / belly-wing' style panels that you most often see with soft armor, or it can fit any of the 'shooter' / 'swimmer' / 'SAPI' style plates - or you can double-up and use both at the same time. Keep in mind that plate thickness can affect the ability to fit a plate into a carrier pouch. I have measured length and width of the plate carrier section and it measures at roughly 13 inches vertical (to the lip of the opening - you do get a bit extra to work with due to the closure flap) by just under 12 inches horizontal. AGAIN: keep in mind that the thicker the plate, the more they will cause the holder to 'balloon' outward and reduce your max vertical/horizontal dimensions that you have available to work with. I'm certain any standard 10x12 will work fine, but if you try something extra-large like a 11x14 it might get snug or not be able to slide in, again depending on plate thickness. You'll have more leeway with the vertical plate dimension since you get a bit extra distance with the hook-and-loop flap at the bottom that holds it in. The plate-holder sections will also work just fine at holding plate-shaped soft inserts, of course. The vest (with both sets of cummerbunds) weighs in at 1.80lbs.
