Description: Bacchus Global Windy Lake Placid BlueWhy we love itThe Bacchus Global offset body Windy is a well-crafted, great playing instrument offering huge performance for dollar. A classy offset-bodied guitar in stylish LPB and mint color combo with upmarket features like flamed roasted maple neck and fretboard and great sounding P90 single coils. Enjoy as-is or use it as a starting point to apply upgrades to taste.ConditionThis guitar is in Excellent (very near mint) condition with few signs of prior use. There is one tiny chip on the back of the lower bout. The electronics are in good condition and function properly. Frets show little, if any, sign of wear. The neck shows no signs of warping or waviness. The truss rod is buttery smooth and in good working order with plenty of adjustment left. There are no noticeable signs of modification. A gig bag is included.OverviewThe “WINDY” model is the successor to the popular offset-bodied “SURF” model in the RSM series. The two P-90 type pickups, TOM-style bridge with stop tailpiece combine to give this model a crisp and powerful attack. As with all Bacchus instruments, fit, finish, playability and tone is superb for the price point. Bacchus achieves this amazing feat through strict quality control oversight by Japanese master luthiers and stringent selection of high-quality materials. This guitar feels much livelier and more responsive than would be expected from a guitar at this price point. There is a notable smoothness and complexity to the midrange, with a heft and fullness to the tone. It retains a punchy, defined low end while still having midrange clarity. This is a very expressive instrument that is difficult to put down once you start playing. The 25.5-inch scale roasted maple neck has a fantastically smooth satin finish, lovely flame maple figuring, and very comfortable modern-C profile. The high rigidity of the neck makes it less prone to warping and waviness. If you are not familiar with roasted maple, the wood is heated at high temperatures to volatilize the moisture and oils in the wood, thereby increasing its rigidity. The resulting sound is a rich, organic sound with a vintage-like tone that is reminiscent of an instrument that has aged its sound with time and usage. Fret finishing is excellent for this price point, with no evidence of rough edges or fretboard marring. Nato, or Eastern Mahogany, is used for the body. Nato offers warm and complex tonal characteristics similar to regular mahogany, and was a favorite tonewood for many excellent vintage made in Japan instruments. The metallic “LPB” paint is just a hair darker than Fender branded counterparts and looks quite sharp on this instrument with the mint 3-ply pickguard. This guitar has been set up with medium action, optimally adjusted relief, and dialed in intonation across the fretboard.SpecificationsBody: Nato (aka Nyatoh)Body Finish: Urethane Lake Placid BluePickguard: Mint 3pNeck: Roasted MapleFingerboard: Roasted MapleScale: 25.5 in (62.8 cm)Frets: 22Nut: Graphtech TUSQ XLWidth at Nut: 1.65” (42 mm) Tuning Machines: Rotomatic TypeBridge: TOM-typePickups: Bacchus Original P-90Controls: Master Vol, Master Tone, 3-Way Selector SwitchHardware Finish: ChromeYear of manufacture: 2020Country of manufacture: JapanAt Professor Nigel's, we appreciate that you want to get a great product at the best price and want to make your purchase experience an enjoyable one.
